Employment Supports

Job Development

ASPPIRE assists adults with disabilities to find employment. Participants taking advantage of this service receive help deciding on the type of work they wish to pursue. This can be done through an informational interview, situational assessment, or unpaid work experience. The ASPPIRE job developer searches for a work environment the best suits the individual, based on their specific needs. Job developers work closely with job coaches and employers to alleviate obstacles that may interfere with long term success.

Job Coaching

The role of the job coach is to monitor the participant in the work site and fade their assistance while creating natural supports in the work environment. ASPPIRE provides qualified job coaches that work directly with the employers and participants in a training or placement site. ASPPIRE supports participants to learn the specific requirements and expectations of their job.
